Swimming Success

James Kilpatrick 5R2 recently broke the East District Record for the 50m Butterfly with a fantastic time of 24.77. He has also qualified for the Commonwealth Games Qualifiers (The British Championships) in London in April where he will be swimming in the 50 and 100 butterfly. Brothers, Conan and Tommy, also medalled at East Districts so they are following in James' footsteps.

Continued success for Beath's own Kilpatrick family when it comes to swimming....Conan and Tommy made it to a few finals at the Scottish National Age Groups over the Easter holidays, which means they are moving up the rankings and are now seeded within the top 10 in the country within there age groups, something everyone at Beath is very proud of!

James was also crowned Scottish National Champion in the 200 butterfly, he won silver in the 50m and 100m butterfly which was impressive as he's currently in the 17/18 category.

James also did well in London but just missed out on the junior final by 0.05. It was a fantastic experience for him though and hes already looking forward to next year. We've attached a clip shared by the boy's parents below.
